Automotive General Sales Manager / General Manager

 

Growing Michigan Dealer Group is seeking General Sales Manager / General Manager with proven Retail Automotive Management experience. We are a growing team of professionals in a Metro market that will sell 1200 + units per year.  Candidate must have a proven track record, self confidence, excellent communication skills and be able to train and lead sales associates, co-managers and administrative personnel. Prior retail Automotive Sales Management experience in both new and used vehicle departments is a requirement of this position. 

Responsibilities:

  Create and organize all sales activities for the New & Used Vehicle Sales departments Work with and supervise Sales Consultants to ensure individual and department sales goals and quotas are met Partner with the Financial Services department to develop and coordinate best practices for the most efficient and effective sales approach Assist  Sales Consultants in closing sales as needed Establish rapport with associates and staff quickly Practice and train Dealership 4 qtr selling process Inspire Sales staff to cultivate customer base to generate repeat and referral business Conduct daily customer follow-up Maintain accurate daily & monthly data Manage vehicle inventory with in company guidelines Successfully complete manufacturer required training

 

Requirements: Proven sales experience in the retail automotive industry Demonstrated leadership abilities Successful background in a financial / budgeting role Solid supervisory skills Demonstrated ability to work required hours Excellent interpersonal skills Moderate computer skills Strong attention to detail Excellent follow-through skills
