SUMMARY:
In this role, the successful candidate will be accountable for the development, design and implementation of company training programs. The candidate will conduct training in a variety of settings utilizing principles of adult learning. The work requires a combination of practical knowledge of the methods and techniques of instruction with the ability to effectively leverage subject matter expertise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop, and deliver training modules, as well as assist in the creation and implementation of other company related training programs, initiatives, and updates
• Design and develop training materials including outlines, leaders guide, participant guides, handouts, tests, job aids, and multi-media presentations
• Facilitate classroom instruction, including but not limited to New Employee Orientation, Operations Training, Leadership Development Training, and other programs as assigned
• Travel to other sites as needed to conduct training
• Maintain current and accurate training records for staff members
• Collect and maintain evaluation forms and data
• Act as internal performance consultant with counterparts in various departments ensuring training support materials are consistent and current
• Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
• Strong knowledge of commonly used training concepts, practices, and procedures
• Ability to rely on experience and judgment to accomplish set goals
• Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills
• Strong facilitation skills and ability to effectively communicate before large groups
• Exceptional commitment to customer service
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where demands of the position may fluctuate unexpectedly
• Innovative spirit – willing to explore new avenues for meeting the training and/or organization development needs of the company
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Must be a high school graduate
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint
• 5-7 years experience developing and implementing corporate-wide training programs
• Experience using instructional design methodologies and models
