Account Manager

Barloworld Handling is southeast’s largest distributor of material handling equipment.  We are part of Barloworld, an international industrial brand management company, whose world headquarters is located in Johannesburg, South Africa.

 

We currently have an opening for an Account Manager.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for sales and territory management

new and used Hyster forklift trucks and other material handling equipment in the

West Atlanta area.

 

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING REQUIRED:

 Three years in material handling equipment sales or equivalent experienceAbility to travel, Valid Driver’s LicenseStrong verbal, written, analytical and communication skills

·        Must be detail oriented and organized

·        Ability to work under and handle pressure situations

·        P/C Skills

o       Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

o       Intermediate knowledge of Internet

 

 SUMMARY OF JOB TASKS

 

1.      Securing material handling orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customer’s facility and /or soliciting by phone. 

2.      Secures opportunities to quote on customer requirements for material handling equipment.

3.      Follows up (by phone or visit) on quotations submitted by customers.

4.      Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel.

5.      Submits activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships.

6.      Performs all assigned duties in the assigned sales territory by the Sales Manager.

7.   Must be a team player and goal oriented.
