Sustaining Engineer - Lighting productsDescription: Monitor production processes; identify and troubleshoot design problems; redesign products as needed for decreased cost, increased quality, enhanced functionality and manufacturing efficiency. Interface with suppliers and test labs regarding quality and reliability issues. Local candidates strongly preferred. Thank you.Requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus min. 5 years experience, preferably in the manufacture of lighting products (will consider background in home appliances, power tools or other consumer products). Strong Autocad and Solidworks design skills. Knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes, standards and documentation including metal fabrication processes and outside testing. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to accommodate changing priorities.
