Structural Bridge Engineer

TranSystems’ Schaumburg Il. office has an opportunity for a senior structural Bridge design engineer in our growing office. The project manager position requires 5 to 10 years of experience in the structural design of bridges and walls along with the preparation of construction documents, specifications and estimates. Projects include new structures as well as the rehabilitation or repair of historic structures, for both roadway and railroads. Candidates will be responsible for the design management of projects, monitoring and adhering to budgets and schedules, performing QC reviews and managing the structural staff in completing projects. Applicants must possess strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment on multi-disciplinary projects. All design and production work performed within MicroStation. Preferred experience would include work for Illinois DOT, ISTHA, City of Chicago, federally-funded local agency projects, and rail (or rapid transit). Moveable bridge and NBIS bridge inspection experience are plusses as well as an Illinois SE License.5 - 10 years,Structural Engineer License (SE)
