This role will assist in the planning and scheduling of Capital Projects including the development of process and project manuals, supporting the Store Planning and Development department and contributing to the overall success of this team.DIVERSE ROLE FUNCTIONS -Responsible for developing and producing Store Planning or Interior Planning floor plans and construction documents with general direction. -Assist in scope development by making specific scope of work and design calculations and making recommendations relative to scope of work for remodels and non-prototypical applications based on age, condition, sales history and other relevant factual data. -Assist in developing and implementing planning processes, standards and management tools including model schedules, change management, prototype development, remodel surveys, QA/QC, project prioritization, CAD standards, data sheets, database, etc. -Assist in developing and implementing innovation initiatives including new merchandise strategies, reinventions, retrofits, benchmarking, best of market presentations, etc. -Directly manage RFI process for assigned projects.REQUIRED CREDENTIALS -Bachelor’s degree in drafting, construction management, computer science or related field; or a combination of education and experience that yields the required knowledge, skills and abilities. -Prefer 1-2 years of prior experience with a 100+ retail store chain. -Prefer prior experience with architectural firm or construction management firm or developer. -Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Project Schedule, Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint and Auto Desk Auto Cad. -Working knowledge of architectural, construction and store planning terms and experience with architectural practices. -Ability to produce floor plans with detail. -Strong organizational skills and ability to be extremely detail oriented. -Excellent customer service skills. -Ability to communicate effectively – both verbally and in writing. -Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, to work independently or as a member of the team. -Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision.This opportunity is a full time permanent position with Savers, Inc.
