Steel Detailing Manager

Precision CADD & Graphics (PCG) is an established leader in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD). For over 12 years, PCG has provided dynamic professional services to architects, engineers, contractors, owners, fabricators and suppliers in the AEC industry. With the increasing demand for building information modeling PCG is quickly becoming a partner of choice for modeling in Revit Architecture and Revit Structure and we are taking our Revit models to the next level by utilizing the model to detail structural steel, steel joists, steel deck, rebar, tilt-up concrete and engineered wood.

 

We are looking for an advanced steel detailer/checker who can manage and grow our detailing department.  This individual will need to have significant steel detailing experience, must possess effective communication skills, have an intense passion for detailing and have the energy to grow the department.  A qualified and dynamic candidate will excel in this position and will have the opportunity to take part in the success of this great company.

 

Education:

 Bachelors degree in Engineering is preferred

 

Experience:

 10 years of steel detailing/checker experienceExpertise with Tekla or SDS/2 software operation and setupKnowledge of steel fabrication process, Fabtrol software and KISS filesGood working knowledge of building design and construction processes Experience with AutoCAD and Revit Structure is a plus but not requiredSolid understanding of Windows OS and MS Office environmentExcellent working knowledge of building materials and systems, such as:

Cast-in-place Concrete

Precast Concrete

Post Tension Concrete

Tilt-Up Concrete Construction

Structural Steel Framing

Steel Joist and Girder Framing

Engineered Wood Products and Wood Framing

Masonry Construction

Cold-Formed Steel Framing
