Sr. Project Architect - Hands On

Role and required experience:

The Westland Industries Design & Development department is currently seeking a highly qualified hands-on full-time Senior Project Architect. The candidate must have a BA in Architecture with minimum 10 years experience with focus on retail and multi-family design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, value engineering, building material research and construction administration. Candidate must be licensed by the California State Board and have supervisorial experience.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The Project Architect’s responsibility is to ensure the highest quality design and technical expertise within a pre-determined budget and schedule. The Project Architect retains the responsibility for determining project design, development costs, practical and value engineering solutions, municipal codes, and project scheduling. He/she will also be responsible for development of the design and construction documents, specifications, as well as coordinating with third party consultants.

 

Required Skills:

 

Extensive knowledge in AutoCAD 2005 or higher; Microsoft Office Professional; Office management;  Production of design drawings and bidding documents; Strong leadership and team building skills. Rendering and 3D design is a plus.
