Senior Transportation Project / Construction Manager
Overview: Stantec's Sacramento office is seeking a Senior Transportation Project/Construction Manager. This individual will lead project teams to deliver major transportation infrastructure programs in Northern California. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of transportation modes with both public and private clients. We are seeking a service oriented, collaborative leader who has the technical credentials and people skills to help us provide outstanding results for our clients. Our Transportation Group provides comprehensive environmental, planning, design, engineering, program and construction management services for all phases of airports and aviation, bridge, rail, roadway, and transit projects. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee transportation projects• Recruit and hire your staff • Direct project staff• Act as client liaison • Mobilize projects• Support contract negotiations• Manage and deliver task orders• Maintain project controls (cost, schedule and quality)• Act as liaison with outside agencies and utilities• Oversee construction by major contractors• Assure the quality of our services• Mentor staff and assist in their career development• Develop new business Qualifications: • CA PE preferred• 15 years experience on large infrastructure programs• Major transportation experience desirable• Demonstrated experience as a program or construction manager for projects budgeted at $150M or greater• Design and construction management experience• Design/Build and/or alternative project delivery experience desirable• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related degree preferred• Proven/verifiable leadership skills• Strong communication skills• Successful track record• Strong professional references• Positive can-do attitude
