Responsibilities include:

Programming – Macro/detailed.

Stacking and Blocking.

Design -Development of design concepts.Prepare documents during schematic design and design development phase.Design within project budgets.Develop solutions to design problems.Technical expertise to detail design solutionAbility to document design work.Develop color and material palettesFurniture selection, specification, bid and contract administration.

Client contact.

Continuing Education – maintain current knowledge of materials, products, finishes, software and industry issues.

Marketing and Business development.

Project success – Financial, technical, design success and client satisfaction.

May supervise a less senior Interiors Designer or Technician during a portion of a job.

 

Qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent.

7-10 years of Interior Design experience, preferably with Corporate, Higher Education or Healthcare project work.

Professional Interior Designer – must have passed the NCIDQ exam or be a registered Architect.

Particular experience in design and technical production drawings desired.

Must have creative design and drawing skills.

Rendering skills – hand sketching or via computer.

 

Skills include:

Leadership skills.

Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, Illustrator, Access and AutoCAD.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to effectively meet deadlines.

Ability to complete work within allocated man-hours and fee.

Ability to effectively work in a team atmosphere.
