HRhome: Is an online resource for HR professionals created by HR professionals. Job Description Revenue Manager Our client is currently seeking a Revenue Manager to join their dynamic team! This position will be responsible for all aspects of revenue accounting including revenue recognition policies and procedures, contract review and deal structuring, and managing and fostering relationships with organizations involved in the revenue accounting process including Legal, Sales, Engineering, Finance and others. Responsibilities: Assume a leadership role for all aspects of revenue accounting, credit and collections Provide leadership, development and application of consistent revenue recognition rules, and assist in documenting accounting guidance for revenue generating activities with specific reference to SAB 101, SOP 97-2, SOP 81-1 and EITF 00-21 Work actively with external auditors to ensure that revenue recognition interpretations are consistent and compliant with US GAAP Prepare accounting whitepapers to document revenue accounting positions, as necessary Work closely with and provide training to groups outside of Finance including Sales, Engineering, Legal and Licensing Early involvement in contract negotiations through participating in discussions, reviewing draft contracts, and providing revenue recognition recommendations based on the company's Revenue Recognition Policy; In addition, over time bring commercial guidance and judgment into the internal and external contract discussions Manage on-going revenue related SOX compliance efforts Manage Revenue, Credit and Billing staffs Education & Qualifications: BA or BS in Finance or Accounting CPA a plus, SAP a plus.
