Kleinfelder's Arizona Region has an opening for the Regional Manager position in the Tempe (Phoenix), Arizona office. The Arizona Region is comprised of offices in Tempe and Tucson. It has enjoyed a 21-year history of providing exceptional service on a wide variety interesting projects.This position is accountable for implementing the company strategic plan by delivering exceptional client service in each of the firm's business lines; continually strengthening the assigned business unit; and providing a challenging and rewarding environment for employees. The Regional Manager position requires a high level of business acumen, strong management and leadership skills, and a demonstrated ability to select, deploy and develop a wide range of people. The Arizona operations comprise a staff of over 75 talented professional and technical personnel covering a diverse range of professional services including environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, materials testing/inspection, and environmental planning and permitting. The Region has an energetic team with well balanced workload of public and private contracts.The Regional Manager will lead the strategic development of the Arizona marketplace, including developing diversification and business development strategies and executing a strategic business plan as an integral part of the company's Southwest Division and overall One-Company framework. Duties for the Regional Manager are critical to the continued success of the operations. They are to:* Lead the Arizona team, helping them advance their careers by unleashing employee talents.* Work closely with the Division Manager to craft and implement the strategic plan for the Region. This will be a plan for delivering exceptional client service, strengthening the business unit, and providing a challenging and rewarding environment for employees.* Execute the business plan; ensuring the Regional meets it projected financial goals. * Make key hires and provide professional development for all staff, including developing clear succession planning at all levels.* Lead the client selection and associated marketing efforts, project delivery/management, health and safety, loss prevention and quality programs.QualificationsTen to 12 years of proven related experience in the A/E industry, and 6 -7 years management experience required. The candidate must have excellent communication (oral and written) skills; commitment to Kleinfelder?s core values; strong business acumen, including skills in leadership, strategy, operations, administration, business development and finance; knowledge, familiarity and understanding of the economic, regulatory and business drivers, competition and recruiting landscape in the regional marketplace; and the ability to develop and coordinate an environment fostering teamwork, collaboration, and superior coaching and mentoring.Benefits Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, insurance, 401(k) plan, paid holidays, and employee ownership.
