Outside Sales: Floor Covering

Leading floor covering distributor of laminate, hardwood flooring, ceramic, vinyl and other types of floor covering is looking for an outside salesperson to call on retail flooring stores in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have an established customer base with excellent growth potential.

This hands-on position involves building and maintaining relationships with store management and retail sales staff in a territory of 150+ existing floorcovering accounts. Responsibilities include: selling inventory to stocking dealers; teaching and training store management and retail salespeople in product knowledge and selling techniques; setting up, maintaining and updating in-store displays/merchandising; handling customer claims with resolution; and prospecting for new accounts.

Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good attention to detail. Candidate must be results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Experience in the floorcovering industry helpful.
