Office and Administrative Support Workers, Other
Career opportunity for candidate with an English degree at a progressive, medium sized architectural office to work with written correspondence, marketing materials, and internal correspondence for jobs in construction. Excellent grammar and verbal skills are a requirement. Career advancement. Full-time challenging position in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
The successful candidate will act as Project Coordinator and handle all aspects of multiple projects leading up to, during and post-construction. The primary responsibility of this position is to facilitate communication and document flow between the design team, consultants, contractors and client/owner.
As an example, our firm designs a school/library/bank and then monitors it throughout construction. There are many administrative aspects involved that the architect on the project does not handle directly. These aspects include correspondence, the bidding process, dealing with our consulting engineers and the contractor on the project, expediting approvals from governing agencies, logging in drawings throughout construction, passing contractor’s invoices on to the Owner, closing out the project, etc. and, in general, being part of the team responsible for the successful completion of a project and maintaining a satisfied client.
We are a small firm located in the heart of Fort Mitchell in the Huntington Bank / Herzog Jewelers Building, offer single-member health benefits, enjoy the usual major holidays, offer two weeks vacation after being with the firm for one year, with salary open for discussion. Be part of a progressive design firm focusing mainly on public sector work such as schools and libraries.
