Mechanical Designer

The ideal candidate will have experience designing the layout of HVAC piping and duct systems with minimal guidance of an engineer.  The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated interpersonal skills through experience interfacing with clients, engineers, architects and others of varying technical abilities; must be able to work effectively within a team environment.

 

Requirements:

·  5+ years of HVAC design experience

·  AutoCAD proficiency

·  U.S. citizenship

·  Ability to obtain a government security clearance

·  Ability to design at the terminal

 

Helpful, but not required:

 

·  Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, MET, or related field

·  Experience with ABS

·  Experience with steam and applicable building codes

·  Central plant experience

·  Experience with DOE 2.1

·  Knowledge of Trane Trace or other commercial load program
