MECHANICAL ENGINEER (Product Design)

Job Description
In support of its expanding business, our client is looking for a seasoned, hands-on mechanical engineer who is experienced in new product design and testing as well as regulatory compliance.  As a member of the product engineering team, the mechanical engineer is responsible for accurately translating design drafts and prototypes into production ready engineered product drawings that meet or exceed quality standards and optimize design intent, cost and manufacturability.

The successful candidate will possess the following: Minimum 2 year technical degree (4 year ME or EE preferred) Ability to comprehend and translate subjective, conceptual descriptions into objective engineering drawings Proficiency in standard drafting practices 2 years experience in a 3-D modeling software (Solid Works or similar) Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances Familiarity with manufacturing practices Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills
