K-12 Construction Project Manager

  We are currently seeking a Construction Manager for a project located in the Los Angeles area. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Â
 Assist OAR with administrative and field close-out of various New Construction projects on occupied campuses. Portable classroom removal from existing schools and Existing Facility upgrades in support of co-located Charter schools. Responsible for assisting OAR with design, construction and post construction phase activities. Assists the OAR to manage staff and contractor to insure the project scope as awarded is built in full conformance with the plans, specs, schedule and cost limits Perform day-to-day contract administration including assisting Sr. Project Manager/OAR in bid analysis, award, coordinating pre-construction conferences, review of contractor’s initial construction schedule, schedule of values, submittals, and generally respond to contractor’s questions regarding contract administration. Perform other CM management functions as assigned by the Director/Sr. PM/OAR.
 Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
o       Minimum 6 years experience in project/construction management of commercial and/or public facilities preferably including educational facilities construction.
o       Prior K-12 construction experience inclusive of working on projects on existing school sites would be beneficial.Â
o       Strongly prefer BS or BA in architecture, engineering, urban planning, construction management or a closely related field.
o       Work may occasionally require oversight and coordination during non-school/business hours.
o       Travel from regional office to school sites will be required.
o       Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
