The candidate will provide assistance in design coordination during the documentation phase as well as construction phase. They will coordinate Andres Escobar & Associates (AEA) projects once conceptualization is complete; mainly in design development, documentation and monitoring phases.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Interior Design Project Manager Review designs approved by AEA clients, meet with consulting team to determine specific needs such as design limitations, code requirements, etc. with respect to architectural, structural and mechanical, designs. Coordinate requirements with AEA design personnel for the implementation of design documents as needed using knowledge of architectural design and technology and ensuring compliance of plans to various regulatory codes. Coordinate with client representative and general contractor including analysis and verification of shop drawings supplied by the General Contractor’s millwork and other sub-trades to insure that construction and fabrication is in accordance with documents issued and set design criteria.
Maintain internal reporting systems; i.e. time-sheets, project files, meeting minutes and project schedules.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

As Interior Design Project Manager you possessThe level of knowledge of construction, construction design and architectural design normally acquired in a four year bachelor's degree program in architectural engineering or interior design. An understanding of the analysis required to manage an interior design project from conceptualization through implementation consistent with defined objectives and client requirements in conjunction with discretion in determining the methods to be used. The working knowledge of computers, Word, Excel, and AutoCAD used to effectively produce construction documents, specifications and schedules. EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three to five years previous related experience in interior architectural/construction engineering design, cost estimating, project coordination and specification writing and a minimum of twenty four months practical AutoCAD experience.

EDUCATION:

Architectural OR Architectural Technologist OR Interior Design degree from an accredited College/ University
