Human Resources Coordinator
Overview: Stantec's Support Teams provide Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, Risk Management, and Shared Services administrative support services to approximately 9,000 employees operating out of more than 125 locations in North America. Through this support infrastructure, we are poised to help Stantec reach its vision of becoming a top 10 global design firm. Responsibilities: • Entering and maintaining confidential employee information for data processing in the HRMS (Oracle).• Reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness and following up for outstanding or incomplete employee forms/information.• Maintaining personnel files and records in a timely and confidential manner while ensuring compliance to Federal and State record retention requirements.• Generating and distributing standard HR reports.• Preparing, processing, and coordinating with the payroll group when required on various individual reporting requests including employment verifications, unemployment verifications, garnishments, etc.• Assisting with implementation and tracking for programs such as milestone service awards, license verification and tracking of continuing education credits, etc.• Assist with time card administration when required; act as trainer on time cards for new hires or acquisition groups as required.• Assist with other HR related projects as tasks as assigned. Qualifications: • A minimum of an Associates degree and two years of related experience or a minimum of four years of experience. Experience may include working with HRMS systems or payroll systems.• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and ability to work alone or with a team is required.• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in an efficient manner required.• A basic knowledge of employment regulations related to the FLSA and record retention guidelines in helpful.• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
