Position Summary: Senior HVAC engineer with experience in science and technology projects for institutional, federal clients and private industry
 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage schematic design, design development and construction document process related to HVAC engineering.

· Assist in managing project issues, budgets, and schedules.

· Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details.

· Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.

· Supervise and coordinate the work of less experienced engineers and designers.

· Meet with clients to define project scope, present project progress and assure client satisfaction.

· Mentor and train junior mechanical staff

Minimum Education and Experience:

· Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering field.

· 6 – 8 years directly related work experience.

· Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Must have great communication and interpersonal skills.

· Must be organized, results oriented, innovative and be able to deal with ambiguity and tight deadlines while working effectively in a team environment.

· Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local building codes and safety laws.

· PE or PE-tracked required

· Working knowledge of CAD tools.

· Work requires travel to meetings, site visits, and inspections. This requires the possession of a valid state drivers license within 60 days of employment.
