THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL OFFER:

·  Design automatic sprinkler systems including fire pumps, tanks, wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.

·  Assist in preparation of Alarm and Special Hazard System submittals

·  Perform hydraulic calculations for each design

·  Prepare submittal packages to send to Architects, Engineers, & (AHJ) Authority Having Jurisdiction and subsequent correspondence to achieve design approval.

·  With assistance from the Design Manager, a Senior Sprinkler Designer, or others, prepare fabrication lists for pipe fabrication vendor and requisition materials for job.

·  With assistance from the Design Manager, a Senior Sprinkler Designer, or others, perform field surveys to ensure design is appropriate for structure.

·  Assist field personnel with design related installation issues.

·  Prepare and submit final job closeout documents after final acceptance testing.

REQUIREMENTS:

·  BS in engineering related field or High School Diploma with 4 years of related training and/or experience

·  Strong working knowledge of fire sprinkler codes. NICET II or NICET III preferred.

·  Equivalent experience will be considered assuming individual desires to pursue NICET education.

·  Strong mathematical skills for hydraulic calculation

·  Strong organizational skills

·  Strong working knowledge of appropriate design tools like, HAAS, HydraCAD, AutoCAD, Microsoft Windows

·  Strong communication skills – both oral and written

·  Ability to work in a “TEAMâ€� setting
