Enterprise Storage Manager

This management-level position is primarily responsible for overseeing the architecture and ongoing support of the firm’s data centers, server rooms and the production storage environment, including server clusters, storage devices, backup software and devices. Additional responsibilities include assisting in integrating, implementing, and supporting the Firm’s disk storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and Direct Attached Storage; supporting all aspects of the Enterprise Backup solution used on all Firmwide Servers to backup and restore data. This includes selection of tape devices and media, tape silos / libraries and the use of third party software products for data protection/replication and backup/recovery.Job Requirements: Requirements include technology skills: Brocade switch zoning and configuration; knowledge of multiple backup and recovery technologies & Advanced Disk Functions (Cloning, Snapshots, Virtualization); advanced disk subsystem configuration (Raid level implementations & LUN Configurations); backup software server installation and maintenance; expert knowledge of multiple operating systems with a focus on Windows and Windows clusters; expert knowledge of HP StorageWorks; working knowledge of NetApp FAS and Data OnTap software; working knowledge of CommVault Galaxy; and expert Knowledge of NSI Doubletake or other disk replication technologies. Leadership skills include: Lead or work on a variety of virtual teams with members of multiple groups to proactively address support issues; work effectively in a geographically distributed team environment; effective remote management of direct reports, including goal setting, professional development and reviews; communicate in a professional manner in person and in email when interacting with team members and customers and provide status reports to project teams and management; make technical presentations to all levels, including operational, support, peer managers and executives.Management & Administration skills include: Able to estimate level of effort and manpower required to complete task- and project-related activities; interface with technology and service providers to ensure that the technical infrastructure is supported and refreshed as needed; manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities; assist in producing and maintaining detailed technical documentation for all assigned tasks and projects, e.g., Visio architectural diagrams, system configurations, and support procedures; four year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.The firm offers an excellent salary, bonus, and benefits package.
