Job responsibilities includes designing electrical systems; Researching, developing, designing, and testing a variety of equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial and industrial purposes; Evaluating the desired goal of the system and developing, designing, or selecting the required equipment, power controls, piping, structures and earthwork to achieve the goal; Performing calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial and commercial applications; Directing activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements. Candidates may direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations: This dynamic and challenging position requires: Associates Degree required in engineering related discipline 2+ years of experience required Experience with electrical designs required. Knowledge of general application of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards to perform engineering and design of less complex units. Ability to perform calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial and commercial applications Excellent written and verbal communications skills Strong time management and attention to detail Excellent organizational skills Jacob’s is a highly employee centric firm and we recognize that without you we have no competitive advantage.
