Electrical Department Head
Primary Responsibilities:- Producing conceptual drawings and documentation- Design of power distribution systems including associated load, fault current, and voltage drop calculations- Design of lighting, fire alarm, life safety, emergency power, etc.- Produce conceptual calculations such as power system, short circuit and load flow studies and transient analysis- Coordinate with clients and team members on assigned projects- Prepare projects specifications- Perform construction administration services on assigned projects (shop drawings, RFIs, site visits)- Ensure that the company technical policies and procedures are practiced during the - execution of team projects- Coordinate responsibilities with utility representatives- Attend project design/construction meetings as needed- Manage group of (5) junior electrical engineersPotential responsibilities with Experience:- Assist in the development of proposals and presentations to clients- Direct/assist production personnel on assigned projectsThe successful candidate should process the following:Engineering Degree in electrical or other engineering disciplineDistribution design experience with low to medium voltage powerExcellent communication and computer skills10+ years of experienceDrafting experience requiredPE registration requiredLEED AP desiredAlderson Engineering, Inc. - www.aldersonengineering.com If you are looking to avoid the Center City commuting time and cost,city wage taxes, and want to work at a friendly tight nit firm,Alderson is the place for you.
