Cost Manager / Cost Estimator / Quantity Surveyor
Cost Manager / Cost Estimator / Quantity Surveyor
Rider Levett Bucknall Ltd., an award-winning international firm, provides property and construction consultancy advice at all stages of the construction cycle. The Company seeks Cost Managers and Senior Cost Estimators in its Honolulu, Denver, and Portland practices to be responsible for cost planning and estimating. The ideal candidate should have experience with quantity surveying and/or construction management to focus on the following key responsibilities:
· Preparation of estimates, cost plans, and cost strategies
· Change order reviews and valuations of work in progress and bid analyses
· Prepare value engineering studies
· Negotiate with contractors
· Meet with clients to review status of work
· Technical leadership background (Portland and Denver)
Qualifications:
· Related Bachelor’s Degree
· Recent experience in Construction Management, Cost Estimating, Quality Surveying or related field (3 years minimum for Hawaii -- 5 years minimum for Denver -- 10 years minimum for Portland)
· Excellent communication and verbal skills
· Experience with estimating software systems and the ability to prepare estimates in accordance with Masterformat and Uniformat system guidelines
