Commercial Furniture Senior Designer

Leading Area GSA Office Furniture Dealer is looking for a Senior Designer to work with sales associates on current and future projects.  This individual would be responsible for assisting sales force with project specifications, space planning, understanding and working with CADD drawings and blue prints.  Responsibilities: A complete understanding of industry knowledge based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and competitive manufacturers. Travels throughout assigned territory as needed to conduct site visits and meet with clients to understand needs and take in field analysis of project. Ability to understand Office Furniture with an emphasis on hands-on demonstrations using samples, and displaying sellable product features. Quotes prices, provides estimates, and over all project analysis  Must have a good understanding of Auto CADD software and CAPS Studio Software Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts. Works with manufactrers representatives for product information and to keep product lines, literature and samples up to date. Coordinates meetings with sales reps to ensure information is relayed properly to customer. Enters new customer data and project data for current customers into computer database. Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts. Investigates and resolves customer problems in regards to project layout and additional product offerings.  Attends trade shows as requested. Bachelors Degree in Design Preferred  Requirement/Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to meet attendance requirements. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Educaiton/Certification: Two-five years experience performing essential functions of this position in a fast paced work environment with a diversified work force.Literacy in, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
