Commercial Construction Site Supervisor / In-house Architect - Hotel Experience Required

           COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Design Build/General Contractor specializing in Hotel Construction is currently seeking an experienced Site Superintendent and we have a unique opportunity for an in-house Architect.

 

The Superintendent must be willing to travel and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to our client’s complete satisfaction. Commercial construction experience is required and a positive, innovative, teamwork attitude is a must. Hotel experience is a plus. 

 

Superintendent candidate must possess:

  Experience as a lead commercial superintendent. Clear understanding of commercial construction means and methods Formal education in construction or engineering is preferred but not required. Knowledge of construction contract documents, construction process documentation and Subcontractor relationships. Basic Computer skills, experience with Microsoft Project, Outlook, and Office. Ability to anticipate problems and create solutions while working independently. Knowledge & understanding of what is required for effective coordination and communications with and between subcontractors, city personnel, and owners. Ability to build a strong team and motivate others.   

Superintendent candidate must be able to:

  Schedule workers (subcontractors) and supervise same. Lead and direct work of subcontractors based on plans, schedules and budgets. Overseeing delivery of equipment and materials. Oversee progress of project, maintaining project schedule, updating upper management daily and weekly on same. Organize of all construction documents and shop drawings. Update all construction docs as necessary. Coordinate project closeout & completion including and responsibility for ensuring completion of punch list items. Manage all jobsite day to day activities.

 

The Architect must be licensed and experienced in commercial construction and in the hospitality industry.  This self-employed individual will enjoy the rent-free use of our Executive Offices to carry out business while being a part of our design/build operation.
