BKF Engineers, a leading civil engineering firm in Northern California, is looking for civil engineers and surveyors for all of our offices. BKF has been providing civil engineering and land surveying services for 90 years, specializing in land development, surveying, and transportation. We design large subdivisions, highway geometric design, master planning, feasibility studies, grading, utility, drainage and sewer design as well as infrastructure for both private and public projects. Some examples of our work include the award winning Santana Row, as well as Bay Meadows, and Oracle Campus.
Job Description:
As a civil Engineer you will create civil design by working with a team of civil engineers surveyors, drafters and project managers experienced in Land Development and transportation projects. Typical projects include site development: grading, drainage, utility, roadway, storm drain, sewer design for subdivisions, mix use development, commercial site, municipal, transportation, for small, medium and large projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. Responsibilities depend on level of experience.
Entry level engineers receive professional training in auto cad and engineering practices. 0-3 years experience.Mid level engineers work closely with Project managers and can take a project from beginning to end. Minimum 3-4 years experience. P.E. strongly preferred. Project Engineers lead a team of engineers through the design and planning of the project. Client contact and design lead on land development projects. Minimum5-6 years experience. P.E required.
Job Requirements:
BSCE or equivalent
Auto Cad design experience
LDD experience a plus
Utility, drainage, grading, sewer, roadway design and planning experience needed for mid to upper positions
Excellent communication skills
Surveying principals
Topographic experience
EIT, PE, LS preferred
