Job Title: Chamber(Anechoic) Designer
Location:Â CedarPark, TX
Â
Summary:Â Designs and drafts working layouts and masterdrawings of RF anechoic chambers, screen rooms, shielded enclosures and otherrelated facilities by performing the following duties.
Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Details and drafts specialized layouts using AutoCAD (including proposal drawings, chamber layouts, associated drawings, and possibly camera-ready art work). Develop, organize and maintain highly efficient files and record keeping. Analyzes specifications, sketches, engineering drawings, ideas and related design data to determine critical factors affecting design of components. Draws rough sketches and performs mathematical computations to develop design and work out detailed specifications of components. Applies knowledge of mathematical formulas and physical laws and uses conventional and computerized work aids to make calculations. Performs preliminary and advanced work in development of working layouts and final master drawings adequate for design. Makes revisions to size, shape and arrangements to create practical designs. Confers with Supervisor and Engineers and others on staff to resolve design problems. Maintains history of customer correspondence relating to project revisions or re-design.

Education/Experience:
A minimum of threeto four years of closely related experience. An Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college ortechnical school in drafting, graphical design or related discipline highlydesirable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of drafting standards (ANSIY14.5M-1994), and architectural design and drafting. Organization, timemanagement and communication skills required. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task are essential. Must be self-directed and able to learn newjob-related disciplines easily. Ability to read, analyze, and interprettechnical documents or governmental regulations. Ability to write procedures.Â

Ability to workwith mathematical and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry andtrigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios,and proportions to practical situations.
Â
Ability to solvepractical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situationswhere only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety ofinstructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Â
Specialized knowledge of anechoic and RF test chambershighly desirable.Â

Computer Skills:
The positionrequires knowledge of or ability to become proficient with drafting softwareused by the company, which includes AutoCAD 2006 through current versions (mustknow X-refs and 3D), databases and spreadsheets (Excel), and MicrographicsDraw, and Visio.
