Our San Francisco office is seeking an Electrical CAD Technician to perform the following:- Work from engineer's markups under minimum supervision to create power and lighting drawings.- Good knowledge of electrical circuiting design.- Able to read and understand architectural drawings.- Develop role in Building Information Systems (BIM) and integration into the CAD environment- Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines- Work under nominal supervision for all but demanding work- Take responsibility for definable parts of a projectRequirements: - Proficient with AutoCAD 2008 with some knowledge of Autodesk's Building Systems/AutoCAD MEP 2008 or Revit MEP a plus.- 5+ years of experience in the production of construction drawings using AutoCAD- Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a strong commitment to succeed are required. - Proficient in Microsoft WORD and Excel.- Able to work under pressure in order to met project deadlines.- Good communication skills essential for team-based working- Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment- Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challengesApply Online For our full-time positions, we offer excellent salaries, a progressive environment and a premier benefits package that includes: Full medical, dental, long term disability and life insurance coverage Three weeks' vacation in year one 10% of annual compensation contributed by the company to your retirement plan, up to IRS limits Educational assistance Health club subsidy Paid, comprehensive training programs Team-oriented working environment Business casual dress Arup is an equal opportunity employer.
