Job Title:CAD Systems Specialist / Designer

 

Job Summary:

Central States Industrial is currently accepting applications for a CAD Systems Specialist / Designer position in a challenging and fast paced environment.   

 

This position is responsible for the development, function, operation, and effective utilization of our computer aided design (CAD) systems – AutoCAD and Inventor.  The development of the CAD systems is based upon present-day needs along with any integration of new technologies that become available, as it relates to software and/or hardware.  Candidate must be a disciplined individual who is able to demonstrate initiative and persistence in the development of innovative solutions.  Ability to multi-task in intense situations is imperative.  In addition, this position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Duties will also include using the latest Autodesk software (Inventor & AutoCAD) to develop relevant designs and mechanical drawings for a variety of sanitary process piping components.  Candidate will utilize both 2-D orthographic and 3-D solid modeling drafting techniques to communicate detailed designs to customers as well as internal shop fabrication personnel.  In addition, this position must employ drafting and design skills with an understanding of how fabrication costs are impacted by these created designs. 

 

Education Required:High School diploma or GED; requiredAssociate Degree; preferredBachelor of Science Degree; recommended

 

Experience:

Sufficient design knowledge of custom fabricated components (required)

CAD Systems Management experience (required)

Mechanical Design experience (required)

AutoCAD (2-D and 3-D) - 5 years minimum, release 2004 or newer (required)

Inventor - 3 years minimum, release 8.0 or newer (required)
