CAD Drafter - Telecommunications/Electrical
Engineering Plus, LLC, a fast-paced engineering consulting firm, has an opportunity for a CAD Designer/Drafter that is self-motivated, personable, and detail-oriented in our Woodridge, IL office.
The duties and responsibilities include:1. CADD layout / CADD production for a variety of design projects with special emphasis on Electrical and Communication Technology projects.2. Manage incoming and outgoing CADD files as well as assist in processing files received by third parties.3. CADD file set-up and Drafting of Power distribution, Branch power circuiting, lighting / lighting controls, Voice/Data Communications, Fire Alarm and other low voltage systems. 4. Fluent operation of CADD software is mandatory. (ACAD Ver. 2008 or greater).5. Perform office wide upgrades to newer versions of AutoCAD as they become available.6. Computer software skills with Word and Excel spreadsheets or equivalent are required.7. Assist other team members in CADD production techniques. This will include one on one instruction and presenting to a group as necessary.8. Coordinate with client and contractors for file transfer procedures.
The qualifications desired include:5 years of experience as CAD drafter, 3 of which need to be directly related to electrical or low voltage projectsProficiency in AutoCAD 2008 or laterMust be personable, organized, and communicate wellMust be able to work independently and multitaskMust be able to work in fast paced environment Work well with others to accomplish team goals and deadlines
