BIM Manager

Seeking a BIM Manager / Digital Design Manager to join team and direct BIM implementations, workflow standards and research.

 

Needed to design, generate and document BIM content, procedures, utilities and installs/deployments.

 

Willingness and ability to help staff in a professional/courteous manner, create and keep documentation up to date, and run regular training sessions.

 

Will be tasked with defining the Revit workflow to help with our transition to the BIM process from AutoCAD (with assistance from our existing AutoCAD Manager). * To provide BIM support (Revit, Navisworks, 3Ds Max, SketchUp) for staff in all 5 of our offices via a web-based help desk system.

 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must. Experience in Revit required. Experience in 3Ds Max, Navisworks and/or SketchUp very helpful.

 

Experience with CAD standards creation and documentation very helpful.

 

Experience training others in group settings very helpful. Experience in AutoCAD helpful.

 

Experience with Autodesk network-based deployments, network license management and customizations helpful.

 

Experience with macros or scripting to automate tasks a plus.



This position reports to the Director of Technical Resources.

Qualifications

Expertise in AutoCAD 2008, Architectural Desktop 2008, Revit and Rhino

5+ years exp as CAD Manager for an architectural or engineering firm

Ability to work with Architects to develop company BIM/CAD Standards

Ability to install and customize software

Working knowledge of LISP, VBA, 3D Studio Max, Adobe Products, and Solidworks a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

Provide end user support and serve as resource for project teams

Format and lead group training sessions

Perform drawing audit

Troubleshoot BIM / CAD coordination issues

Update BIM / CAD Standards

Regularly review the newest software and technology and make recommendations for technology updates
