Architectural Specifications Writer - Healthcare
Architectural firm with a reputable healthcare studio has an opening for a Specifications Writer in their Orlando area location. Responsibilities for the position include - Writing & editing of specifications for healthcare projects.Coordination with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other consultant specifications.Consult with design team.Coordinate specifications with drawings.Take lead in assembly of project manual.
Qualifications for the position include -10+ years architectural background with 4+ years in healthcare specifications writing.Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) membership.Preference for Construction Document Technologist (CDT) certification on path to Certified Construction Specifier (CCS). Well versed in all phases of construction document preparation and construction administration. Knowledgeable in CSI Manual of Practice, American Institute of Architects (AIA) Handbook of Professional Practice, and construction industry standards. Familiarity with Master Spec, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
