This position is responsible for maximizing revenue growth by improving penetration of the general contractor & sub-contractor segment, as well as distributors and some advertising sales to Building Product Manufacturers in the assigned territory, based out of Jacksonville, FL. Salary will be commensurate with experience and is comprised of base salary plus commissions. The successful candidate will embrace the development of solutions focused on individual customer requirements. You will understand the customer's work processes and devise appropriate solutions intended to help achieve their marketing and sales objectives. You will be expected to master McGraw-Hill Construction product knowledge, establish and build relationships with multiple levels of management, including executive level decision makers, in order to ensure the fulfillment of assigned quotas. Team collaboration, solution coordination and an insatiable appetite towards learning, growing and serving customers are essential in this role. The ideal candidate will possess a college degree or equivalent industry experience and must be proficient in solutions-based consultative sales. Additionally, the candidate should understand the nature of enterprise selling, knowledge of advertising sales and have the ability to use computer aided demonstration techniques when presenting to decision-makers.A minimum of 2 to 3 years sales experience is required. Prior construction industry experience is a strong plus. Additionally, superior leadership, decision making and communication skills along with a desire for constant improvement will be the components of the successful candidate.
