Account Executive / Sales Representative Leading Office Furniture Supplier

Job Purpose:

Obtains national market share by serving current customers; identifying and developing new customers.

Duties:

* Services current customers by maintaining rapport; making periodic visits; evaluating customer needs for new opportunities; responding to requests; resolving problems.

* Identifies new customers by studying sales statistics; estimating sales volume; qualifying potential customers.

* Develops new customers by establishing new distribution channels; explaining product potential to retailers; identifying possibilities for product improvements and new products.

* Maintains distributor network by explaining promotions; training personnel; attending presentations; supporting efforts; answering questions.

* Accomplishes sales objectives by obtaining and maintaining dominant shelf position; negotiating contracts.

* Increases market share by designing and presenting national and local promotions.

* Provides historical information by completing records.

* Prepares reports by collecting, preparing, and analyzing information.

* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
