ARCHITECTS - PROJECT ARCHITECT, ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNERS, CADD TECHNICIAN

DIXON & ASSOCIATES, ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS, PC is a full service engineering, architecture and construction management business working on a variety of new design, adaptive re-use and forensic projects for Fortune 500 companies, private industry, real estate developers, condominium associations, and private residences in Central and Northern NJ since 1990. We are expanding our team of professional engineers, registered architects, graduate engineers and architects, AutoCad technicians and administrative personnel to respond to the growth of our client base. All positions are permanent, full time.

 

 

The successful PROJECT ARCHITECT candidate w/5-7 years related experience will take on full project responsibilities to complete projects. Professional Registration brings more responsibility and reward. You will have direct interaction with the Client, Other Professionals and the Site to define the project's requirements. In the field you will Investigate & Document existing conditions. In concert with the Principal, you will perform Building Code evaluations, Design solutions and alternatives, and be responsible to create construction documents and specifications. As a team leader you will coordinate your work with the work of others. Proficiency in AutoCad 2002/2005 is required .

 

The successful ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER candidate w/3-5 years related experience will receive direction from the Principal or Project Architect and will prepare layouts and plans, in greater detail, that will be used to gain Owner approval, and will assist in the preparation of CDs and Specifications. During the work, design documentation and written communications will be kept in the project file to maintain the history and development of the project. Proficiency in AutoCad 2002/2005 is required.

 

The successful AutoCad TECHNICIAN candidate with 2-3 years experience will receive directions and be responsible to produce AutoCad construction drawings in detail to provide contractors with specific information on how to construct the project. Field work is available if interested. Proficiency in AutoCad 2002/2005 is required.

 

All staff are involved with other projects. We share our experiences and increase our individual knowledge through informal office interaction. Our professional office is comfortable and fully equipped with current technology.

 

From time to time, field investigation of existing construction is required by all technical employees which requires the ability to personally climb an extension ladder and/or scaffold to take measurements.Required Qualifications & Skills:

Registered Architect in NJ, a plus.

 

Self Starter, working independently and with team members.

 

 

 

 

 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Client Interaction.

Proficiency in AutoCAD 2002.

Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.

Field work may require climbing a two story ladder and or scaffolding.
