Warehouse Manager

THE COMPANY:  Serving farmers and equipment dealers throughout the USA, Canada, and farther abroad, Exapta Solutions is committed to providing products for highly effective seeding of crops under no-tillage systems.  Exapta continues to grow and diversify, with the agility of a small company and the savvy and accolades that are the envy of the industry heavyweights.  Of course, serving our customers well includes a tightly run warehousing and shipping operation.

THE POSITION: Exapta is currently seeking to fill a newly created full-time warehouse manager position, with opportunity to advance in the company as it grows.   The primary functions will be to organize inventory and pre-packaging, to receive new product batches and check QC, to fulfill packing slips and get shipments out the door accurately and timely.  This is no desk job: many of your duties (at least for the near-term) will consist of actually handling inventory in the warehouse, while spending enough time in the office to ensure smooth flow of our products into and out of the warehouse.

QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate will have excellent organizational skills and ability to solve problems, will have integrity and honesty, and will be conscientious of details and timeliness.  The candidate will have good ‘people skills’ including the ability to effectively oversee other employees as well as making hiring decisions. The candidate will be energetic, able to work independently and without close supervision (i.e., a self-starter), and enthusiastic for the job at hand.  We want someone who is proud of doing an important job and doing it well.  We’re a young company with strong growth prospects¾an exciting juncture for those who like to challenge themselves.  Bachelor’s degree (or higher) preferred, but not required.  Experience with warehouse management preferred, but not required. Solid computer skills needed.  Do not apply if you don’t meet these requirements. Do not apply unless you are excited about creating an efficient warehouse and inventory system, and you are ready to work hard?and this will mean doing a lot of the handling and packing of products yourself, not merely supervising others.

COMPENSATION:  Salary of $26,000 to 35,000, depending on skills.  Some additional compensation based on performance benchmarks.  Some flexiblity of hours during non-peak season; retirement account; stipend for health insurance; paid vacation.

APPLYING: Send your résumé and 4 references to exapta@gmail.com .
