We are currently seeking a Supervisor, Laboratory for our Uncle Sam, LA location.  This position supervises laboratory operations and personnel to assure quality control of all samples.  This role plans and implements control of laboratory building, supplies and equipment for continuous operation.



 

Principle Accountabilities:

 

Supervises personnel to assure 24-hour operation; consults with production and shipping personnel on problems.

 

Responsible for laboratory safety and housekeeping programs, maintenance of equipment.

 

Performs calibration and repairs to instruments to limits of ability and through outside services.

 

Trains, develops and motivates personnel in their job assignments and duties.

 

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

 

This position is covered by Mosaic’s Employee Dispute Resolution program.

Required Education, Experience, Skills:

 

Bachelor’s degree with a major in Chemistry is preferred.

 

5+ years work experience in quality control is preferred. 

 

Familiarity with statistics. 

 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and LIMS.

 

Ability to motivate personnel.

 

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are required. 

 

Ability to schedule personnel and maintain performance records.
