BCS is structured into six Business Operations units: four regional crop protection units and two units responsible for Environmental Science and BioScience – offering an outstanding range of products and extensive service backup for modern, sustainable agriculture as well as for non-agricultural applications.ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility of this role is to act as a strategic business partner and coach to the Environmental Science (ES) client areas to define and develop HR strategy to support functional strategic business goals. This role will also be responsible for strategic human resource planning to ensure client areas have the best people talent available and to position the company as the Employer of Choice by being aware of policies, practices and trends of best in class employers and current cultural gaps.The incumbent will: -Be accountable for ensuring successful HR delivery of services for all client groups. The Senior Business Partner (SBP) is responsible for partnering with HR service groups to ensure successful implementation and application of agreed upon HR policies and programs including staffing, training, compensation, benefits etc; -Be responsible for providing Organizational and Executive development support to the entire US Bayer CropScience organization (2400+ employees) and Executive development support to Bayer CropScience (BCS) Canada; -Act as a senior level advisor on human resources issues (including organizational re-restructuring, re-allocation of resources, culture and change initiatives, talent management, etc) to client executive team members and all levels of employees for assigned clients that affect performance and business relationships; -Provides strategic support to leadership team members and management in areas of: linking business and functional strategies; coaching business and functions through organization, regulatory and business issues and coaching business partners to create and foster a work environment consistent with the leadership principles, values and mission of BCS; -Provide leadership and consulting support to company executives and management on matters of goal setting, policy development, talent management, succession planning and strategic implementation of HR programs in support of achieving corporate objectives and business growth; -As the Head of Organizational and Executive Development, be responsible for providing guidance on all organizational and executive development programs for North America. This includes talent pool management, succession planning and personnel organizational conferences; -Be responsible for the implementation and execution of the BCS Orientation Centers (assessment centers for evaluation of high potential candidates) and the BCS Development Centers (assessment centers for evaluation of high potential candidates); - Partner with other Human Resources Business Partners and Leadership Team members to identify needs and ensure organizational change through the development of people; - Enhance the Division’s performance through team and individual performance management initiatives; - Provide collaborative consulting services (organization development consulting) to assist management and professionals (individuals, teams, groups) in problem-solving, team-building, innovation, planning or other non-technical work-related issues. Provides management in analyzing development needs and providing strategic responses consistent with the division’s Vision, Values, Leadership Principles and Beliefs. QualificationsThe selected candidate will possess: -Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources/Organizational Development, or other related field; -Minimum of ten years Human Resources experience; -Previous experience with multi-site, multi-state, multi-functional organizations; -Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the organization; -Ability to work in a team environment; -Strong demonstrated group facilitation skills as well as presentation skills to effectively communicate with large groups inside and outside the organization; -Individual and group consulting skills obtained through both training and seasoning with executive level customers in a variety of situations; -Personal evaluation abilities obtained from years of selection and assessment interviewing with candidates for top management positions.Preferred Qualifications -Masters of Business Administration or other related Master’s degree; -Professional certification at PHR or SPHR level; -Previous experience working with executive level members of an organization; -Leadership and organizational development experience.Bayer Benefits We offer a wide variety of competitive compensation and benefit programs.
