Set-Up and Pre-Delivery Technician

Job Functions:  Assembles and services all types of agricultural equipment offered for sale by the dealership and prepares equipment for delivery to the customer.  May also be require to perform basic diagnostics and repair of agricultural equipment.  (Note: This is not a production assembly line-one day you may get a 24 row corn planter that you have to put together, and make sure it works properly, the next day could be mounting a set of duals on a 4WD tractor.)

 

Essential Job Duties: 

  Assembles and service all types of agricultural equipment (John Deere, Landoll, Unverferth, etc.) offered for sale by the dealership.  Performs pre-delivery inspection on all types of equipment to insure proper operation before delivery to customer.  May be required to perform basic diagnostics and repair of customer owned agricultural equipment. Prepares and completes all required job related paperwork. Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, equipment, and work area.

Skills and Qualifications: 

  Must be a detail oriented person.  Our goal is to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.  We do this by ensuring each piece of equipment is delivered in excellent condition ready to go to the field.   Basic ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up process. Basic ability to assemble machinery components and to follow the manufacturer's pre-delivery instructions Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly. Basic electrical, hydraulic and mechanical skills.
