Sales and Marketing Specialist

Native Seedsters, Inc. (NSI), manufacturer of the world’s most efficient native seed harvester, is looking for a dynamic, self motivated technical sales and marketing professional. The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and execution of a national and international sales program aimed at direct selling the NSI product family to seed producers. The individual will define, characterize, and capture customers in a competitive, niche market of native grass seed producers, including switchgrass producers. Sales and Marketing Responsibilities:

 

Learn the business by developing a strong understanding of the company’s product, market, and commercialization plan

Sales/Lead Management

Generate and follow-up on leads, customer interest, answer questions

Assist with product demonstration

Prepare for and market product at farm machinery conventions

Manage contact/client management system

Conduct market research to find and capture market opportunities as well as refine existing product lines.

Characterize potential customers

Who is the decision maker?

What species of native grass seed do they produce?

Which species are the most difficult to harvest?

What is their current harvesting methodology

Sales and marketing oriented, flexible, friendly

Self-starter, self-motivator

Detail oriented

Superior Oral and written communication skills

Proficient Office productivity software skills (Word processing, spreadsheets, email)

Excellent research skills, both traditional and Internet

Ability to conduct cold calls

Prior sales experience is highly desirable

Knowledge of agricultural machinery and/or seed production industry is highly desirable

 

Native Seedsters Inc will provide:

Base Salary based on experience
