 Project Manager

Management & Economics Consulting, Inc. (MAECI) is an International consulting firm, specializing in private and government projects; with our headquarters in Lititz & Radnor Pennsylvania.  Currently working on several projects in Africa, MAECI is seeking a Project Manager for a modern, sustainable agriculture project, as well as for non-agricultural applications.

Responsibilities.

The primary responsibility of this position is to generate and maintain project plans and milestones supporting a two-year Agriculture Strategy for our client, a progressive African country. This position will also be responsible for tracking progress and delivering against a schedule of launch and lifecycle management milestones and activities for asset portfolio. As innovative leaders in International consulting, projects formulating and management, we develop sustainable solutions, which help our clients create harvests and yields in order to meet the growing demand within the country, and for export.

The Project Manager will:
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive list of project’s requirements, for assigned Asset Portfolio covering all phases of product lifecycle from phase 2 to withdrawal/exit;
- Support Farming Manager and staff in following Phase 2 project to completion.
- Support Farming Manager in economic prioritization of Business Objectives (potential and current innovation project / opportunities) and development of local budget; and ensure quality of the project outcome;
- Maintain comprehensive and realistic assumptions for the project (esp. timing and financials) in project management systems.
- Lead a monthly review of assigned tasks against approved plan and Lifecycle Management checklist and apply decisions to initiate/update project plans as appropriate;
- Lead an annual review of performance against milestones established, establish lessons learned and integrate into future project plans and planning process;

-Perform other project’s related activities when needed;
- Extensive Travel required, approximately 50%.

Qualifications

The selected candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience OR Master’s degree and 10+ years of experience OR PhD and 7+ years of experience;
- Ability to influence others without direct line supervisory authority;
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills;

Preferred Qualifications

- MBA / Prior Project Management experience.

-Multi-lingual (English/Spanish; English/French; French/Spanish) ability would be an asset
