Project Geologist/Hydrogeologist
Staff or Project Hydrogeologist, Environmental Engineer or Environmental Scientist – Sterling, VA GeoTrans, Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech, Inc. The Sterling, VA office is currently seeking a motivated Staff or Project Hydrogeologist, Environmental Engineer or Environmental Scientist. The position will have both office and field-related responsibilities. Potential tasks will include flow and transport modeling, database tasks, GIS analysis, monitoring well installation oversight, soil and groundwater sampling, aquifer testing, and environmental site assessment. Experience / Education Requirements: BS or MS in geology with specialization or significant course work in hydrogeology is preferred. Two to four years of previous experience. Significant background and experience with numerical groundwater modeling applications, 40-hour OSHA certification, and some prior background in ArcView are pluses.
