An exciting opportunity has opened for a Design Engineer to join an international, leading supplier of water filtration products and solutions.

 

Job Description Design and prepare proposals for standard and custom water filtration systems to be used in a wide range of industries, including municipal, industrial, and irrigationObtain information on filtration applications and recommend the most appropriate filter(s) in each caseHelp customers over the phone in deciding which filter should be used based on the application parameters and the filtration needsWork with Regional Sales Managers when a request is received to facilitate communication and information transfer between the customer and the companyWork with the technical department on recommendations for non-standard filtration systems and obtaining pricing for special partsAssist design engineers with system recommendations and aid is finalizing system specificationsReview bid specifications for municipal and industrial bidsPrepare and issue final bids to contractors for municipal and industrial bidsOrganize submittal information for won bid projectsAssist in the rental of filtration units by obtaining information on the unit, coordinating the shipment, etc.

 

All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for considerationBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a Related FieldSolid experience as a design engineer, as this position involves heavy design workExperience creating designs based on both in-house specifications and customer requestsStrong AutoCAD skillsWater treatment and hydraulic experience (knowledge of pressure differential, water flow, etc.)Basic technical knowledge of process systemsSelf-motivated, organized and able to practice good time management
