As a global leader in nourishing crops and delivering distinctive value to the world's agriculture, Mosaic offers an opportunity to share in an exciting future. We are currently seeking a Merchant (Nitrogen) for our Riverview, FL location.  This position is responsible to coordinate and manage Mosaic's US and offshore nitrogen distribution positions.  In the US, this role is responsible for the buying of product, as well as coordinating sales with the US sales team.  In the offshore geographies, this person is responsible to help the geographies in their nitrogen procurement by providing market information and recommendations on positions. Principle Accountabilities: Manage US nitrogen distribution program:  Negotiating short-term and long-term purchases of urea and UAN; assisting logistics team on the transportation of purchased product; assisting sales team by setting sales prices and coordinating volumes; selling excess barge positions to third-party customers. Offshore Geographies:  Keep in close contact with Mosaic offshore geographies in Latin America and Asia on market information, sales prices, and position levels; give recommendations to the geographies on their purchases, as well as assisting with their long-term purchase negotiations with outside suppliers. Market Information Communications:  Keep in touch with outside vendors and customers on market information and communicate this with Mosaic sales team and geographies, along with outlook on future market direction expectations. Industrial Nitrogen:  Purchase dry urea and ammonium nitrate solution for use at the FL & LA phosphate plants.  Responsible for the sourcing of urea for industrial Nox program in the US. Reports:  Put together and present a monthly nitrogen S&OP report; Manage nitrogen derivative monthly mark-to-market reporting; Monthly nitrogen P&L projections for nitrogen; Weekly US position reports from SAP. This position is covered by Mosaic's Employee Dispute Resolution program.Mosaic is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Required Education, Experience, Skills: Bachelor's degree in business or related field is required. 3-5 years of work experience in the logistics area. Solid verbal and written communication skills are required. Strong negotiating skills are required. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several responsibilities at the same time. Ability to make quick decisions in a decisive manner and act independently. Experience with documentation as well as with supplier negotiations. Ability to travel at least once per month. Proficiency in Excel, SAP reports and Powerpoint is preferred. Strong risk management skills are preferred. Knowledge of agriculture markets is preferred. Understanding of international business markets and ability to conduct business within various cultures. Proficient in Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred.
