This company is a fast growing, well positioned, $7 Billion International Business.  They are looking for a Materials Manager for a high growth manufacturing business with 1600 employees. This opportunity is a high visibility position with an opportunity to bring about significant improvement in the supply chain operations.  Due to explosive growth, a top performer needs to be a strong leader who can create excitement, change behavior and significantly improve operations while bringing a strong financial acumen to the role. Selling points of this role are the growth of the business and industry, breath and scope of role, being a part of the implementation of new systems and tools and growth opportunity into the Director of Manufacturing in 2-3 years.  The compensation for this role is a base salary ranging from $130,000 to $140,000 plus a 30% target bonus.

 

The Manager will lead a team of 100 plus employees with 4 direct reports to include a Production Control Manager, Sales Operations and Planning Manager, Receiving and Stock Room Manager and Materials Planning Manager.  These groups are responsible for managing for material handling, production planning, inventory control, logistics and materials planning.  Primary responsibility of this position is to manage the external supply of purchased product in support of production needs.  Carries out effective material control techniques that assures material availability while achieving defined inventory plans.  The position reports to the Director of Manufacturing.
