Manager, Human Resources & Compliance
Southern States Cooperative, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Manager, Human Resources & Compliance. Manager will assist in counseling and provide resources to division management for all human resources related programs, for the corporate office and production facilities, including recruitment, employment, employee assessment, policies, disciplinary actions, terminations, and career development. Assists in the creation, interpretation and communication of HR policies and programs. Administers and implements compliance programs as directed by management including Affirmative Action, EEO compliance, anti-harassment and code of conduct training, pre-employment drug testing and criminal background processes. Assists in the recruiting and placement process through partnership with Recruiting Manager. Oversees new hire employment-testing processes. Supervises staff in the administration of their daily responsibilities. Represents Southern States in community activities, organizations and professional human resources affiliations.
BA or BS degree in Human Resources or business related field required, or must posses experience equivalent to 4- 6 years in Human Resource field. Must possess knowledge of personnel practices and procedures related to Human Resources and EEO compliance procedures as well as demonstrated knowledge of employment law. Experience in counseling on career development, compensation plans, staffing, disciplinary issues required. PHR or SPHR desired but not required. Supervisory experience and strong communication skills also required.
