Gasket/Sealing System Engineer - The incumbent is responsible for sealing validation test support for concept validation, supplier validation / qualification and NPI/CPI programs. The incumbent will be required to develop test programs from engineering component functional requirements. Also will need to perform such job functions as utilizing data acquisition systems and analyzing test results, formulate conclusions, and make recommendations. Leading/directing/advising/teaching less experienced engineers and techs may be an expectation. Additionally, review existing test validation benches for improvements in velocity, uptime, serviceability, and safety. Must have a positive attitude of working safely for self and others, and be active in promoting a safe environment. This position in Specialty Products Business Units Sealing COE provides the candidate with the opportunity to learn/apply Cat s engineering systems, to gain extensive and broad Cat product line knowledge, to interface with external sealing suppliers, and to develop core competency in sealing technology. Requirements: Requirements:The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year(s) of work experience relevant to the position; excellent longevity in previous positions, and a degree or certificate is highly preferred. This position requires a 4 year engineering degree in either the mechanical or related disciplines. The candidate must have strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. The candidate must be able to demonstrate previous practical knowledge of both electrical and mechanical machines/installations. 2 - 5 years work experience in test and development environment.
