We are currently seeking an Engineer II (Utility) for our New Wales and Four Corners, FL locations. This person will champion initiatives within the Concentrates and/or Mining facility that analyze energy systems and will manage all water balance and power consumption within the facility. This position will develop long-range plans to address power distribution infrastructure within each facility. Principle Accountabilities: Develop and track comprehensive power distribution and infrastructure planning, identify areas of concern with respect to energy, fresh water and reuse water consumption. Develops plans including required fresh water offsets, pond water inventory, and outfall water quality. Evaluation and implementation of projects to reduce energy consumption, fresh water consumption and water reporting to the pond systems. Evaluate water systems/projects and develop short/long-term goals which lead to a reduction in water inventory, fresh water consumption, water discharge and reuse efficiency. Develop and coordinate system for higher levels of accountability in terms of energy usage, including setting goals for heat recovery, steam usage, power generation and power efficiency, tracking efficiency projects, providing revenue projections, and evaluating future requirements to maximize business unit revenues. Accountable for tracking import, export, power generation. Evaluate and implement projects to reduce power consumption of the operating facility. Maintain plant documentation for water and energy systems. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Required Education, Experience, Skills: Bachelor's Degree with a major in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required. 2+ years of relevant work experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Emphasis on Excel and Word skills. Ability to work with applicable plant operations software. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to be self-directed.
